Camilla Belich to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: What role, if any, does the GNS Science Public Information Management (PIM) team play in coordinating messaging between the National Emergency Management Agency, GNS Science, and regional civil defence groups during seismic or volcanic emergencies?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have been advised that the Earth Sciences NZ PIM Manager complements the CDEM PIM Manager by delivering hazard-specific scientific communications that align with broader emergency messaging.
