53341 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Revenue: How does Inland Revenue track the use of Investment Boost, if at all?

Hon Simon Watts: Inland Revenue plans to ask for information on the amount of Investment Boost claimed through an additional question in the IR10 form. This information will start to be collected for the 2025-26 tax year returns. Inland Revenue also plans to collect information on uptake from large businesses through its Basic Compliance Package survey. This is an annual survey of about 450 significant enterprises. Inland Revenue also plans to undertake a firm survey at the end of 2025. This will provide qualitative information on whether firms are utilising Investment Boost.
