53298 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many, if any, Learning Support Coordinators have been recruited since 5 September 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) does not currently hold this information. School boards employ teachers, not the Ministry. A survey of schools receiving their Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) allocation in 2026 is currently underway. School boards employ teachers, not the Ministry. This will provide the Ministry with information on how advanced employing schools are in their recruitment process for LSC roles.
