53296 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Are area schools covered under “all Year 1-8 schools and kura are funded for a Learning Support Coordinator to work with students”; if not, why not?
Hon Erica Stanford: All state, state-integrated schools and kura with learners in Years 1-8 will have access to a Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) by 2028, including area schools. Schools eligible for the in-school LSC include those with students in Years 1-8 that do not currently have access to a cluster-based LSC as part of the 2020 tranche. Area schools and secondary schools that are eligible for an in-school LSC will receive an FTTE based on their Year 1-8 roll numbers. In-school LSCs are allocated at a ratio of 1 FTTE per 500 students, with a minimum of 0.2 FTTE.
