53276 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister of Forestry: Is the Minister confident that the current level of government funding is enough to stop the spread of wilding conifers, if so - why and if not - why not?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised the National Wilding Conifer Programme has been running since 2016. Crown funding for the current year is $15 million. Control efforts are prioritised annually to ensure efforts are targeted effectively. The Programme is focussed on identifying efficiencies in the control methods.
