53274 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister of Forestry: Who did the Minister, if anyone, consult with when deciding to provide a $3 million top-up for wilding pines controls in the Molesworth and Mackenzie Basin areas, listed by organisation?

Hon Todd McClay: In 2025/2026, there is $15 million allocated to the National Wilding Conifer Control Programme; made up of $12 million from the Ministry for Primary Industries and $3 million from the International Visitor Levy. These decisions are made jointly by my Ministerial colleagues, the Minister of Conservation, Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, and the Minister of Finance.
