53272 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister of Forestry: What percentage of affected land has been successfully cleared and restored to native vegetation since the Wilding Conifer Control Programme began in 2016, listed by year?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that since the implementation of the National Wilding Conifer Control Programme (the Programme) in 2016, around 75 percent of the known infested area of wilding pines has received at least one round of control under the Programme. The Programme does not keep records of land use following wilding conifer control. Future land use decisions remain primarily with the land occupier.
