53264 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How much is the current total funding approved for the Mt Messenger bypass?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that as of August 2025, the current investment envelope for the southern and central sections of the Bypass is $572.6 to $587.8 million. Construction of the northern section continues to be delayed by legal challenges preventing land access, with costs to be confirmed in due course, noting this matter is currently before the courts.
