53227 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Is the Minister confident in the Year progressions of the draft Arts curriculum; if so, why?

Hon Erica Stanford: All draft curricula are designed to have a clear, sequential progression of knowledge and practice across all year levels and appropriate definitions and terminology. I am advised that the Ministry of Education considered other international curricula when drafting to ensure international comparability. Consultation is now underway and feedback will be considered by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) before the curriculum is finalised. The Ministry will consider all feedback as part of refining draft curricula over the coming months.
