53141 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Climate Change: What advice, if any, has the Minister received regarding New Zealand's commitments to climate finance in the Pacific, listed by title and date?

Hon Simon Watts: The Minister of Foreign Affairs holds portfolio responsibilities for International Development Cooperation, including climate finance in the Pacific. In my capacity as Minister of Climate Change, I received background advice on New Zealand’s climate finance commitment to the Pacific on 12 February 2024, titled, Informal Note: Climate Finance Commitment. In the course of my duties, I have also received briefings on New Zealand’s climate finance in the Pacific to support engagements with counterparts and stakeholders.
