53108 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What pilots or trials, if any, have been undertaken or are currently underway to test non-targeted hepatitis C screening approaches?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that in 2024 there was a pilot to test the feasibility and acceptability of offering Hepatitis C testing via community laboratories in the Northern Region. After the pilot, a broader national study was conducted in 2025. Results from this study are currently being analysed.
