53101 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Has the Minister received advice from officials advising her that the Government's decision to remove the explicit te Tiriti o Waitangi obligation on school boards could reduce the Crown’s ability to support Māori educational success as it’s required to do by the Treaty of Waitangi?

Hon Erica Stanford: In advice to me, the Ministry of Education noted the Education and Training Act should provide for the Crown’s commitments to Te Tiriti. I am advised that this advice will soon be available on the Ministry of Education website.
