53099 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: How many members on the ECE Funding Review Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG), if any, have a qualification from an approved ITE programme leading to teacher registration?

Hon David Seymour: One member on the ECE Funding Review MAG has a qualification from an approved ITE programme. The MAG is reviewing funding settings, rather than teaching and learning, and is selected on this basis. The MAG is comprised of a balanced mix of skills, experience and knowledge.
