52851 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Police: Of the 30,961 alcohol breath tests falsely or erroneously recorded by Police, how many (if any) were done while the officer/s were in a moving vehicle?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that all falsely or erroneously recorded breath tests were identified through an algorithm designed to detect patterns suggesting they occurred in a moving vehicle. While a very small number may be legitimate, the overall sequences fell outside normal expected behaviour, therefore were deemed incorrectly recorded.
