52822 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Prime Minister: What is the projected number of graduate roles, if any, that will be offered across the Minister’s departments, agencies, Crown entities, and any other bodies for which the Minister is responsible, as at 1 June 2026?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). DPMC operates an establishment model under which each business unit is allocated a fixed number of roles. The level and type of these roles varies according to the unit’s functions. While none of DPMC’s roles are specifically tagged as graduate roles, graduates can, and have been, appointed to roles at DPMC.
