52788 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Conservation: What is the projected number of graduate roles, if any, that will be offered across the Minister’s departments, agencies, Crown entities, and any other bodies for which the Minister is responsible, as at 1 June 2026?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation advises me that it does not currently have any specific graduate roles or a formal graduate programme, and does not project to have any such roles or programmes as at 1 June 2026. DOC advises that whilst it has no formal graduate programme, it does employ graduates, particularly into policy and legal roles, where entry level vacancies exist. It also has alternative entry-level pathways into conservation that do not require entrants to be graduates.
