52775 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: What is the proposed "go live" date for Te Au Reka; if there are different dates for different parts of the project what are those dates?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: Te Au Reka will be delivered over three phases, beginning in the Family Court (Phase 1). During the Family Court build, additional complexity has been identified which is impacting the delivery schedule and is currently being worked through. At present, the programme is estimating the rollout will be completed by the end of 2026 as per the Updated Implementation Business Case but will go-live later than the planned date of July 2026. Phase 2 will introduce digital case management for civil and criminal proceedings in the District Court (including Youth Court) and the High Court. Rollout is expected to begin in late 2027, with the go-live date to be confirmed following the detailed design work. Phase 3 will introduce digital case management for the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, the Environment Court, Coroners Court and the Disputes Tribunal. Rollout is expected to begin in 2028, with the go-live date to be confirmed following the detailed design work.
