52770 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Transport: What is the source of the statement that the Hamilton Southern Links project will create “over 7,000 new jobs”, and what job creation figures, if any, are contained in the same source material for each other Roads of National Significance project, listed by project name and region?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that this is based on the Waikato Regional Transport (WRT) Model, which a forecast of the number of jobs from planned industrial development across the Waikato. This model will also forecast the number of jobs from any development associated with Cambridge to Piarere in the Waikato Region.
