Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Finance: What is the total sum of money spent, if any, on contractors and consultants to assist in any change processes, role disestablishments, and/or restructures, at departments, ministries and agencies for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, listed by month and agency?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that for The Treasury, the following amounts have been spent. This includes costs for employee support services as well as Legal advice (amounts exclude GST): December 2023 - $1075.20 March 2024 - $1,737.70 April 2024 - $5,044.80 May 2024 - $200 Total - $8,057.70 Since 27 November 2023, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand has not engaged any contractors or consultants for the purpose of assisting any change processes, role disestablishments, and/or restructures. RBNZ has engaged contractors to fill some roles more generally, and some of those roles may intermittently relate to change processes, role disestablishments, and/or restructures. However, this is not the purpose of those contracts.
