Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Economic Development: What is the total sum of money spent, if any, on contractors and consultants to assist in any change processes, role disestablishments, and/or restructures, at departments, ministries and agencies for which the Minister is responsible, since 27 November 2023, listed by month and agency?

Hon Melissa Lee: I am advised that the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment spent $3,360 in December 2023, on a single contractor who assisted with one change process within the Ministry. Additionally, the Ministry advises that in July and August 2024 two contractors have been used to support the People and Culture branch, a small percentage of their time may have been used to assist with change processes. With regard to the New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, I am advised this is nil. I am advised that NZTE made six payments to contractors and consultants to assist in change processes, role disestablishments, and/or restructures, the total amount being $105,490.
