52590 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister for Social Development and Employment: Does she agree with private carer David Tucker that we have a SuperGold Card scheme for the elderly — why not a SuperCarer Card to give private carers discounts on key expenses; if so, what, if anything, will she do to further this?

Hon Penny Simmonds: While this is not something I have previously considered, I will explore this suggestion in my revision of the New Zealand Carers' Strategy.
