52577 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: With regard to the mental health and addiction peer support service, are the emergency department patients accessing the community services after discharge; if so, how is this monitored, if at all?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that each hospital will use its existing processes to assess what community follow up is required for people who are seen by peer support specialists in ED, and to monitor how people move through the system.
