52574 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Are patients, after seeing peer support specialists in the trialled mental health and addiction peer support services in emergency departments, and being referred to community services on discharge, putting stress on already stretched community services; if so, are the community services being supported with increased patients, and how?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the new Peer Support in ED initiative is not yet deliverying services, therefore no information is available regarding referrals to community services.
