52546 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister for Trade: How many, if any, businesses that have links to Israel and/or the illegal occupation of Palestinian Territory does New Zealand currently trade with and/or invest in; listed by number of Businesses and what is traded/how much is invested?
Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade does not collect information on the number of businesses trading with Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. Two-way trade between New Zealand and Israel was valued at NZ$273.17 million in the year ending March 2024. Our top export was travel, while our top import was mechanical machinery. Two-way trade between New Zealand and the occupied Palestinian territories was valued at NZ$1.46 million in the year ending March 2024. Travel was our top export and import.
