Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: You have requested the mean salary of all Deputy Chief Executive roles. Our structure does not consistently title Deputy Chief Executives across the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). We therefore deem it more appropriate to provide you with the mean salary of all Tier 2 Leaders who report directly into the Chief Executive. This is a mixture of Deputy Chief Executives, Executive Directors, and Secretary of Cabinet/Clerk of the Executive Council roles. The mean salary for staff in these roles is $319,179. This excludes seconded individuals who are not DPMC staff and are paid by their home agency.
