52526 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Justice: What proposals, if any, has the Minister received from the Ministerial Advisory Group for Retail Crime, by date and title?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I have received five reports containing proposals from the Ministerial Advisory Group for Victims of Retail Crime (the MAG). Three of these reports are publicly available on the Ministry of Justice webpage. My decisions on the proposals in those three reports can be found in Cabinet papers publicly available on the Ministry of Justice webpage here: https://www.justice.govt.nz/justice-sector-policy/ministerial-advisory-group-for-victims-of-retail-crime/ Two further reports containing proposals from the MAG are being withheld in full as they are under active consideration. I believe it would prejudice the orderly and effective conduct of government decision making processes to release the titles of proposals that are under active consideration.
