52517 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: How many jobs, if any, have been created in the tourism sector since June 2024 to date, by region?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised we do not have the specific data to answer this question as it is businesses and industries that create jobs, not the Government. The Government creates the conditions in which jobs can be created. Our work to grow the economy, including the billions of dollars of infrastructure projects will help businesses gain the confidence they need to help create thousands of jobs across the country.
