52439 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How much, if anything, has Oranga Tamariki saved in an absolute dollar amount from "getting money back where it hasn't been used" from service providers contracted by Oranga Tamariki to provide services, given that the Minister confirmed on the 8 August that decisions have now been finalised?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that in the 2024 financial year they received $22 million from underutilisation recoveries. I am further advised that there are ongoing discussions with some providers. Oranga Tamariki anticipates this figure will increase upon final reconciliation.
