52429 (2025). Lan Pham to the Minister for Biosecurity: How many, if any, yellow legged Hornets is MPI aware are currently in Aotearoa New Zealand?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: As of 12 November 2025, Biosecurity New Zealand has confirmed eight yellow-legged hornets based on collected specimens. Seven are queens, and one was male.
