52422 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Further to WPQ 50309 (2025), on how many occasions have cars been detained or seized by bailiffs in error in the last 12 months; how many of these occasions were part of the hand held scanner trial?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I can advise the Member that the Ministry of Justice does not currently have reporting available on whether property was seized, or if a vehicle was clamped, in error. This reporting is unavailable regardless of whether the seizure was a part of the Automatic Number Plate Recognition handheld device trial or not.
