52421 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Further to WPQ 50309 (2025), on how many occasions have cars which have been seized by bailiffs in error in the last 12 months been sold; how many of these occasions were part of the hand held scanner trial?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I can advise the Member that the Ministry of Justice does not currently have reporting available on whether property was seized in error, and subsequently sold. This reporting is unavailable regardless of whether the seizure was a part of the Automatic Number Plate Recognition handheld device trial or not.
