Hon David Seymour: The permanent structure for the Ministry of Regulation has 91 roles, only 19 of which are currently filled by permanent employees. As such, any data related to mean salaries may not accurately reflect the permanent roles and is likely to change as those roles are recruited. Officials advise that fewer than four people are employed in each of the following roles: roles assisting with communications and engagement, advisor (including policy advisor), and senior policy advisor. It would not be in the public interest to release the mean salary for these roles, as it could lead to the identification of the salaries of individual employees. The Ministry for Regulation does not currently employ anyone in the roles of Executive Assistant, Lead Policy Advisor, or Deputy Chief Executive.
