52402 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: What is the mean salary in the Ministry for Regulation for a person assisting with communications and engagement?
Hon David Seymour: The permanent structure for the Ministry of Regulation has 91 roles, only 19 of which are currently filled by permanent employees. As such, any data related to mean salaries may not accurately reflect the permanent roles and is likely to change as those roles are recruited. Officials advise that fewer than four people are employed in each of the following roles: roles assisting with communications and engagement, advisor (including policy advisor), and senior policy advisor. It would not be in the public interest to release the mean salary for these roles, as it could lead to the identification of the salaries of individual employees. The Ministry for Regulation does not currently employ anyone in the roles of Executive Assistant, Lead Policy Advisor, or Deputy Chief Executive. Officials advise that, as at 21 August, the mean salary for fixed-term or permanent employees in the remaining roles you have requested is as follows: Senior Advisor (including Senior Policy Advisor): $127,278 Principal Advisor: $164,135 Team manager (includes all employees other than the Chief Executive who manage people): $218,749 This is also my reply to questions 52541 (2024), 52542 (2024), 52403 (2024), 52413 (2024), 52414 (2024), 52415 (2024), 52416 (2024), 52417 (2024) and 52418 (2024).
