52396 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: Which crops in New Zealand, if any, are reliant on pollination by honeybees and other insects that are preyed upon by the yellow-legged hornet?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I am advised that, according to the Ministry for Primary Industries’ 2024 Apiculture monitoring data, crops reliant on honeybee pollination include kiwifruit, pip fruit, avocados, summer fruits, some vegetables, canola, and some seed crops.
