Hon Andrew Hoggard: The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has not just deployed traps across key suburbs, but has engaged a range of resources on the response: around 100 personnel from across MPI are involved in the response, across a number of areas such as laboratory analysis, field operations, public engagement, intelligence, and logistics support. A Technical Advisory Group of national and international experts is guiding the response strategy, including the type and placement of traps. This is analysed daily and changes made where necessary.
