52380 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: In response to Reply 50334 (2025), will Outdoor Education credits count towards University Entrance; if not, why not?

Hon Erica Stanford: Final policy decisions regarding all subjects, including industry-led subjects, within the proposed new secondary qualifications have not yet been made. The Ministry of Education works with Universities New Zealand and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to ensure any changes to University Entrance reflect the breadth of learning pathways available to students. This includes Outdoor Education and other subjects in the refreshed Year 11-13 curriculum.
