52375 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What, if anything, is the Ministry of Education regarding the issue of asbestos in school buildings?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) is currently evaluating tender submissions to establish an accredited panel of asbestos service providers. This panel will assist the Ministry and schools to engage competent suppliers and forms part of a broader strategy to manage asbestos risks. Asbestos management is incorporated into business-as-usual operations.
