Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: In response to Reply 50835 (2025), how, if at all, is the extra cost of $1,644,972 (excluding GST) per year being funded, and how, if at all, is this increasing the cost-per-meal-per-student of some lunches which had already increased from $3 to $3.84?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the additional cost of a 5-day waste collection is being funded from programme efficiencies and has not affected the cost-per-meal.
