52256 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Justice: What advice, if any, has the Minister requested regarding policies to restrict rough sleeping or begging, by title and date received?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am focused on ensuring safe public spaces and promoting city centres. The Government has a Quarter 4 Target to take Cabinet policy decisions on options to provide more tools to address anti-social behaviour. I am currently considering advice on options. However, I believe it would prejudice the orderly and effective conduct of government decision making processes to release the titles at this time.
