52236 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: What teams, business units, and functions in the Minister’s departments, if any, have increased FTEs since November 2023, and how many FTEs have they been increased by?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Office for Māori-Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti has increased by 1.7 FTEs since November 2023. To remain fiscally responsible, previous contractor resource has been changed to fixed term employees, resulting in increased FTEs. Where appropriate, vacancies are being moved across the organisation to respond to work in priority areas (for example Takutai Moana) to ensure the Office for Māori-Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti can continue to deliver its work programme. This results in fluctuations in FTE numbers across functions.
