Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police has taken several steps to strengthen the integrity of alcohol breath testing practices, including: • Enhancing data monitoring, including the development of a bespoke algorithm to audit breath test data • Initiating a disciplinary process for staff whose conduct is not in line with Police’s code of conduct • Requiring all constabulary staff to complete a refresher training module on breath testing procedures • Reinforcing expectations around ethical conduct and data integrity through internal communications and leadership engagement.
