52128 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: What advice, if any, has the Minister received on the impact of public service cuts, if any, within their department, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) has publicly confirmed there is a proposed reduction of 755 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions across the Ministry, with 316 of these roles currently vacant. I have received no advice regarding the impact of public service cuts from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority or Education Review Office.
