52059 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: What teams, business units, and functions in the Minister’s departments, if any, have been disestablished since November 2023, and how many FTE were in them?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I refer the Member to the Minister of Education’s response to written parliamentary question 52128 (2024). For my Tertiary and Skills portfolio: I am advised by the Tertiary Education Commission that the Performance Based Research Funding team, consisting of 3.7 FTE roles, was disestablished while the University Advisory Group completes its consultation. There have been teams, business units and functions that have undergone changes, with the functions either being integrated into other teams and/or changes in reporting lines. I am advised by Education New Zealand that there have been no teams, business units or functions which have been disestablished since November 2023.
