Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Economic Development: How many staff employed at the ministries, agencies and departments for which the Minister is responsible have signed non-disclosure agreements since 27 November 2023, listed by agency, role title and the date the agreement was signed, if any?

Hon Melissa Lee: I have been advised, MBIE does not use Non-Disclosure Agreements in resolving employment relations matters. However, in line with section 149 of the Employment Relations Act 2000, MBIE does enter into Confidential Records of Settlement, of which there were 43 in the period requested. Details relating to role title and date agreement signed have not been provided, as this may make individuals identifiable. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, I am advised that there have been none. I am advised that New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has no record of any staff signing non-disclosure agreements with NZTE in their personal capacity in the period between 27 November 2023 and 21 August 2024.
