Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to this portfolio. I received the following advice from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) during the week beginning 27 October 2025: - Government contribution to the Southland and Clutha mayoral relief funds (27 October) - Oral item for Cabinet on Tuesday 28 October 2025: Update on severe weather events (28 October) - Meeting with newly elected mayors and regional councillors (29 October) - Fortnightly Status Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery (30 October) I also received one additional document within the specified timeframe; however, it is not in the public interest to release the title of this document. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
