52012 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Corrections: How many staff employed at the ministries, agencies and departments for which the Minister is responsible have signed non-disclosure agreements since 27 November 2023, listed by agency, role title and the date the agreement was signed, if any?
Hon Mark Mitchell: None.
However, I am advised that while non-disclosure agreements are not used at Corrections in a human resources context, many employment agreements contain a standard confidentiality clause which states the employee must not misuse or disclose any confidential information that comes to their knowledge by virtue of their employment with Corrections. They can also be used in the case of mediated disputes, which may contain a clause stating that the terms of the settlement and all matters discussed in mediation where relevant shall remain confidential to the parties involved.
