Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Children: Further to 48396 (2024), What is the ratio of the strategic partners, Māori organisations and iwi service providers the Minister met with between January and April 2024 who supported or opposed the proposal to repeal section 7AA of the Oranga Tamariki Act, if at all?

Hon Karen Chhour: I do not believe it is appropriate for me to speak on behalf of strategic partners, Māori organisations, and iwi service providers regarding their positions on this matter. The Member will be aware that the Social Services and Community Committee is considering submissions on the Oranga Tamariki (Repeal of Section 7AA) Amendment Bill. Submissions to the Committee are available on the Parliament website.
