51899 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Does the Minister agree with the Waitangi Tribunal's recommendation that citizenship by descent be extended to two generations for Māori and if so why and if not why not?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I respect the findings of the Waitangi Tribunal. However, at this time I am not proposing a review of the Citizenship Act 1977.
