Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2023 in ‘evaluating actions taken in the spirit of continuous quality improvement’ under ‘Ongoing research and evaluation’ within the Rural Health Strategy 2023?

Hon Matt Doocey: I refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 13095 (2024), noting that the Government Policy Statement on Health 2024–2027 (GPS) has since been released and is available at the following link: https://www.health.govt.nz/publication/government-policy-statement-health-2024-2027. The GPS sets expectations for the health entities over the three years from July 2024, this includes improving the health of rural communities.
