51776 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Education: What contributions, if any, has the Minister or any office they are responsible for made to inform the Governments position on the upcoming United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) in its 23rd and 24th periodic UN reviews by date and title?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Justice is leading the Government’s response for the upcoming United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) periodic review. Education material is related to the 2021 New Zealand CERD Report (23rd and 24th Consolidated Report) and the List of Themes the Committee provided to the Ministry of Justice. I am advised that the Ministry of Education provided the Ministry of Justice with updated information in both June and October 2025 to support the examination.
