51772 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Courts: What contributions, if any, has the Minister or any office they are responsible for made to inform the Governments position on the upcoming United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) in its 23rd and 24th periodic UN reviews by date and title?
Hon Nicole McKee: The Minister of Justice is leading the delegation to New Zealand’s review of its 23rd and 24th reports under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD) in Geneva on 25-26 November. The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination has produced a list of key areas of interest. The Ministry of Justice has been working with relevant agencies to prepare materials covering those issues. Neither I nor my office has contributed to the government’s position on this review.
